I seem to spend my time on a computer waiting

 When my software has finished its updates
And its checked all the links on the 'phone
I'd just like use the computer
I'D JUST LIKE SOME TIME ON MY OWN!

I don't mind just 'waiting a minute'
I don't mind that the updates are free
But it seems every day and in every way
The computer gets more time then me

If they didn't push programers to publish
If they hadn't been so keen to make dough
Maybe things would work like expected
Maybe the programs would go

But it seems all this software is changing
What you bought's not what's on your machine
The packets the same but the drivers and game
Are all changed to add a new scene

So next time I get some new software
I'm checking the one that I get
Is the final report on the program I bought

And it won't need updates off the Net
